TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Bristol that provides a supportive and personalised learning environment for pupils with autism, severe learning difficulties and sensory processing needs. The school focuses on communication, emotional regulation and helping pupils engage positively with learning and daily routines.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant / LSA on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will support pupils with ASD, sensory needs and behaviours that challenge, working closely with teachers and therapists to provide consistent routines and individual support strategies.

The successful SEND Teaching

Assistant / LSA will have

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly ASD and challenging behaviour
• Team Teach training (current or previous) or willingness to undertake training
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive attitude and genuine passion for supporting pupil progress
• A driving licence or access to transport is desirable
