We are seeking a Band 7–8a Clinical Psychologistto join ourwell‑established Intellectual Disabilities CAMHS team in Dorset. About the Role

You will deliverspecialist assessment, formulation and interventionfor children and young people with intellectual disabilities and co‑occurring mental health needs.

  • Working withcomplex and high‑needs presentationswithin a trauma‑informed, neurodiversity‑affirming framework
  • Providingclinical leadership, consultation and supervisionwithin the MDT
  • Strongmulti‑agency workingwith families, education and social care
  • Contributing toservice development and quality improvement

You’ll be a registered Clinical Psychologist withsignificant experience in CAMHS, intellectual disabilities or related services, and a passion for doing thoughtful, ethical work with children and families.

To provide a specialised psychology Service to the Pan Dorset ID CAMHs service. The post holder will provide psychological advice, consultation, training and supervision to non-psychological colleagues in addition to the direct provision of psychological assessments and interventions and where appropriate clinical support for pilot projects and clinical developments across the service. The post holder will liaise closely with other Clinical Psychologists and other key senior staff within the service to support the implementation of agreed system changes and service developments within the directorate.
