Overview
Somerset Council are looking for an experienced Case Manager – Supported Housing to provide high‑quality tenancy and housing management support across several sheltered housing schemes. This temporary role covers the caseload of an absent Case Manager and involves hybrid working alongside a supportive team.
You will oversee approximately 140–160 tenancies, ensuring tenants receive a safe, responsive, and person‑centred housing service. The role focuses on promoting independence, delivering effective tenancy management, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations and council policies.
Key Responsibilities
Tenancy Management — Deliver a high‑quality housing and support service to tenants across sheltered schemes.
Caseload Oversight — Manage approx. 140–160 tenancies, ensuring safe and secure environments.
Housing Administration — Oversee administration and management of social housing properties.
Policy Compliance — Ensure all housing regulations, policies, and procedures are followed.
Scheme Management — Support the management of tenants and homes across multiple sheltered housing schemes.
Community Support — Encourage independence, choice, and wellbeing within the community.
Team Collaboration — Work collaboratively with the wider team through hybrid working arrangements.
About You
Experience in housing management, supported housing, or tenancy support.
Strong organisational and caseload‑management skills.
Confident working independently while contributing to a wider team.
Knowledge of housing regulations, landlord responsibilities, and tenancy law.
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
Ability to support vulnerable tenants while promoting independence.
