The Role
Mentoring with Purpose
In this full-time role, you will act as a 1:1 specialist for students with ADHD, ASD, and Attachment Disorders.

Build Therapeutic Alliances
Use a "Relational Approach" to build trust with students who have disengaged from learning.

Behaviour Intervention
Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and help pupils manage emotional triggers.

Small Group Support
Facilitate "Nurture Groups" focusing on social skills, resilience, and emotional literacy.

Progress Tracking
Maintain detailed logs on student engagement to support EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) reviews.
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this SEN Mentor role, you should possess

Education/Experience
A degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Criminology OR 1+ years of experience in Youth Work/Social Care.

Resilience
The ability to handle challenging verbal and physical behaviours with a calm, non-judgemental "can-do" attitude.

Communication
Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with parents, teachers, and external healthcare professionals.

Compliance
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we can assist with a new application if required).
