About this role
To attend team meetings and communicate effectively daily with all grades of staff to build strong working relationships To proactively and efficiently ask and answer patient and staff questions and queries in a timely and professional manner Evidence of a good standard of Literacy / English language skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills via telephone, email, face to face, correspondence Ability to show empathy, reassurance, negotiation, persuasion, diplomacy, assertiveness, discretion. Ability to liaise with other hospital Trusts in the South West eg Yeovil, Exeter, Barnstaple, Dorchester Organise and prioritise the workload of self and Waiting List Clerks Excellent keyboard skills are needed as a wide range of IT applications is used Ability to work under pressure Ability to work alone and also with a team Confident, friendly and tactful disposition Willingness to use technology to improve standards of care and support to our patients Ability to juggle tasks as there are constant interruptions.
