HR Business Partner

About this role

My role helps deliver patient care by: Supporting the whole organisation which is made up of three directorates, Integrated Urgent Care, Integrated Primary Care and Integrated Community Services. This role sits within the Corporate Services function of Kernow Health CIC and will offer a full HR support with specific focus on employee relations both internally and externally to our General Practice Shareholders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting the Head of HR in the delivery of advice and ER support across Kernow Health CIC and wider Primary Care networks to support the corporate business plan and OD Strategy. Providing expert HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on HR matters, supporting managers in dealing with complex casework, performance, attendance, and employee relations issues both internal KHCIC managers and external PCNs when required and as directed by the Head of HR. Work in close partnership with the Head of HR to deliver strategic HR priorities at an operational level, ensuring organisational people strategies are translated into practical action. Build strong, credible working relationships with managers and staff at all levels, acting as a trusted, impartial advisor on workplace issues and people matters. Use coaching methods to provide an environment that is collaborative, supportive, and provides constructive feedback on performance. Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience. Work in collaboration with other areas of HR to ensure processes are efficient and aligned between business areas. Support Managers in identifying and planning appropriate development interventions for their teams. Developing and maintaining good relations (informal and formal) with the recognised trade union and leading on negotiations where necessary. Supporting project work and key deliverables within the HR team, including but not limited to Recruitment campaigns/drives and Wellbeing initiatives. Providing administrative support to the Head of HR where required, including managing agendas/minutes, attending meetings, collating, and providing information and reports/correspondence. Maintain the flexibility to work outside standard office hours when required, in order to conduct formal HR meetings with staff working unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends. Ensure that grievance, disciplinary, capability and other formal employee relations meetings can be undertaken during an employees working shift where appropriate, enabling timely, fair and inclusive access to HR processes for all staff. This requirement reflects the operational nature of the service and the expectation that the HR Business Partner is a visible, accessible and embedded presence within the frontline workforce. You will be expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties, as directed by your line manager.
