What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of College Road Primary School are currently seeking to appoint a hard-working, enthusiastic, compassionate Teaching Assistant to work within our creative, happy school, to support our pupils and help them thrive.

We are looking to appoint a caring, committed individual to join our established and successful team. The role will include supporting learning within class, working with children who have special needs, running learning interventions, as well as preparing resources and assisting teachers in the day-to-day management of the classroom.

The person appointed will need to be flexible, resourceful and have a good sense of humour. Previous experience would be an advantage, especially of teaching phonics using Read Write Inc. We are looking for someone in our friendly, values-based school, who is child-centred, uses a trauma-informed approach, has high expectations, and embraces a positive, fair approach to behaviour management.
