The Role
This is an exciting role for a nurse who loves dentistry and is ready to take the next step into leadership. You will play a central role in guiding a talented team, maintaining exceptional clinical standards, and helping shape the future of a busy and evolving dentistry department.
Combining hands-on clinical work with leadership responsibilities, this position offers the chance to influence patient care, mentor colleagues and drive service development within a highly collaborative specialist environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and support a team of four RVNs and one dedicated technician
Coordinate the daily workflow of the dentistry department
Maintain exceptional standards in anaesthesia, theatre nursing and patient care
Oversee the patient journey from admission through to discharge
Support team development through coaching, training and regular feedback
Represent the department at leadership meetings and contribute to hospital projects
Drive service improvements and support the continued growth of the dentistry department
Deliver outstanding clinical care as an active member of the nursing team
Working Pattern
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Five 8-hour shifts per week
1 in 8 weekend rota
Days off in the following week after weekend shifts
The Practice
The hospital manages a diverse caseload across cardiology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care, and dentistry. You will join a supportive and highly skilled team where collaboration, innovation and continuous learning are embedded into everyday practice.
Salary & Benefits
Salary between £35,000 and £42,000 depending on experience

About You
Strong passion for veterinary dentistry
Confident with anaesthesia and advanced patient care
Leadership experience or a clear desire to progress into a leadership role
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Positive, proactive and supportive team leader
Referral experience desirable but not essential
