The Board of Directors of The Rainbow Multi Academy Trust are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic family liaison officer to support pupils learning at St Meriadoc CE Infant and St Meriadoc CE Junior Academy.
As the successful candidate you will have substantial experience of working with children and young people, including supporting those who may be vulnerable or display challenging behaviours. It is desirable that you have experience of leading or contributing to meetings with external agencies and have previously worked within a school environment, including supervising or supporting staff or groups of pupils. You will be patient, resilient and approachable, with a genuine passion in supporting children and families.
It is essential that as the successful candidate you are educated to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant area or can demonstrate significant experience in a similar role. A strong understanding of SEND, behaviour management and trauma-informed practice, including knowledge of the PACE approach, is highly desirable.
You will demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills and have the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, particularly those who may exhibit challenging behaviours. You must also demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
