School Caretaker

An opportunity has arisen at Holy Trinity Primary School for a reliable and flexible School Caretaker to join our team. We are seeking someone who can carry out a full range of duties to provide for the security, safety and day to day maintenance and supervision of the school premises. We need someone who is enthusiastic and able to manage their own work effectively and who has a range of DIY skills to undertake general repairs to a high standard. This is a part-time, permanent post, graded H11 £25,989 FTE, £8,830 pro rata - £13.47 per hour, working 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. Suggested working hours are 7.30am – 9.00am and 3.00pm - 4.30pm, although flexibility in hours is available for the right candidate. There is the possibility of overtime work outside of normal hours by prior arrangement if required for lettings or work during the holidays.As a main keyholder, you will be responsible for the security, safety and day-to-day maintenance of the school site including opening the building, responding to alarm call-outs, overseeing heating systems, liaising with contractors, and keeping the grounds in excellent order.
