We are hiring multiple Public and Green Space Operatives to support the upkeep and cleanliness of public spaces.

This is a varied, active role suited to individuals who enjoy working outdoors and take pride in maintaining local environments.

Working Hours

Shifts start between 05:00 – 07:00

Shifts finish between 13:00 – 18:00

Working 3–5 days out of 7, including 1 weekend day (rota-based)

Key Responsibilities

Litter picking and emptying bins across designated areas

Streets and pathways, Car parks, Public toilets

Removing small graffiti and fly-posting

Weed removal and general maintenance tasks

Carrying out basic inspections and reporting issues

Identifying work for specialist teams (e.g. grounds maintenance, deep cleaning)

Fly tipping, Damaged infrastructure, Abandoned vehicles

Completing basic documentation and daily logs

Working safely and following all council procedures

About You

Full, clean UK manual driving licence (Category B)

Flexible approach to shifts and duties

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Good teamwork and communication skills

Strong awareness of health & safety

Full training provided across multiple service areas

Work may include car parks, city centre routes, toilets and deep cleaning operations
