About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other education professionals to support pupils' learning, development, and well-being. You will be integral in promoting independence, self-esteem, and inclusion within the classroom and school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support to pupils to help them access the curriculum and reach learning milestones.
- Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans.
- Foster positive relationships with children, promoting engagement and self-confidence.
- Collaborate with teachers to deliver enriching and inclusive learning experiences.
- Support behaviour management strategies and help maintain a safe, respectful environment.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children’s progress.
- Embrace safeguarding and promote the welfare of all students.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to children and adults
- A positive approach to learning and development
Desirable
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ3, HND, degree)
- Experience in a school or education setting
Working knowledge of the national curriculum and supporting SEN
