What skills and experience we're looking for
St Thomas A Becket C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint a passionate and highly motivated Class Teacher. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.
In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that follow the school’s curriculum while adapting your teaching to meet the varied strengths and needs of your pupils. You will create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment, setting high expectations that motivate and challenge every child to achieve their full potential. You will assess, monitor, and report on pupils’ progress, using this information to inform your teaching and support positive outcomes. You will work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents, building strong relationships that support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and development. You will play an active role in the wider life of the school, contributing to its ethos, policies, and curriculum development. You will ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils by following safeguarding procedures and maintaining high standards of behaviour management. You will also take responsibility for your own professional development, engaging in training and reflective practice to continually improve your teaching.
