The Imperial Torquay is a magnificent 19th Century 152-bedroom Victorian four-star hotel, and offers breath taking sea views, plus a host of leisure facilities, making it fun and picturesque location to work in.

Just a short walk from the main train station and town centre, the hotel is really accessible for our employees.

As a Sous Chef, you will be

working alongside the Head Chef to run a busy kitchen. You will be creating

exciting and delicious dishes to be served to guests.

This role would suit someone who

has worked in a similar environment previously.

  • As a skilled chef, you’ll get to really put

those knife skills to the test, cooking with the finest of ingredients.

  • We want to keep everyone safe, so you’ll

need to keep up to date with the latest allergen training.

  • Being one team, everyone in the kitchen is

responsible for keeping it clean.

  • Nobody wants out of date food, so labelling

your food is important.

  • As an experienced chef, we encourage you to

share your knowledge with new, budding Junior Sous, CDP’s, KP’s and Commis

coming into the industry.

  • You’ll be responsible for managing the

kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

  • Along with the Head Chef, you’ll write the

allergen matrix, to ensure that all our guests are kept safe.

  • We can’t run out of food, so it’s important

to keep on top of ordering, via Procure Wizard.
