Salary

£12.95 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and support to residents during the day shift
  • Assist residents with their daily routines, including personal care, mealtimes, medication administration, and any specific care requirements
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to enhance their well-being
  • Observe and document residents' health conditions and behaviour, promptly reporting any changes to the appropriate staff members
  • Support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity
  • Collaborate effectively with the night care team to ensure continuity of care and smooth transition of information
  • Maintain accurate electronic records of care provided
  • Foster a warm, supportive, and respectful environment for residents and their families

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care role, preferably within a care home environment
  • Availability to work day shifts, from 8am to 8pm, 3 days a week
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Compassion, empathy, and patience in providing care for individuals with disabilities
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a care home setting
  • Valid enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one prior to employment
