About the Role
We’re looking for a caring and committed Extra Care Night Support Worker to join our friendly team at Avondown House, a vibrant Extra Care Housing community in Bath. This is a part-time permanent role (20 hours per week), working night shifts on a rota basis, including alternate weekends and some bank holidays.
Avondown House is easily accessible by public transport or car and offers a welcoming environment where tenants can live independently with the right level of support.
What is Extra Care?
Extra Care Housing provides adults with care needs the independence of living in their own self-contained flat, with the reassurance of on-site support. Our services were rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in June 2022.
What You’ll Do
As an Extra Care Night Support Worker, you will
- Assist tenants with personal care (washing, dressing, hygiene)
- Promote independence, dignity, and choice in everything you do
- Keep accurate records of care and support provided
- Support tenants to access NHS and third-party services
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and use your initiative when needed
- Encourage lifestyle choices that help tenants stay in control of their lives
About You
- Previous care experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
- A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality care is a must
