We are looking for a kind, patient and friendly Personal Assistant to spend around 8 hours a week supporting a lovely 17-year-old young woman in Chippenham.

This role is all about companionship, confidence building and helping her enjoy getting out and about. She enjoys simple trips to local shops, supermarkets and cafés, as well as spending relaxed time with someone she feels comfortable around. She can be quiet at first, but becomes more chatty and playful once she builds trust and confidence with new people.

She can sometimes find the outside world overwhelming and may become upset, so the ideal person will be calm, understanding and reassuring, with a good sense of humour and a warm personality. More than anything, we are looking for someone who can become a positive, supportive companion — someone happy to have fun, be a little silly and help her feel safe and comfortable.

The role may involve supporting with wheelchair use and some personal care, including toileting support.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone caring and reliable who would enjoy making a genuine difference in a young person’s life and if this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
