About this role
Millfield School is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Development Officer (Database, Research and Compliance) to support the delivery of its fundraising, engagement and stewardship activity. This is a key support role within the Development Office, with a strong focus on database management, prospect research and reporting to enable effective and successful fundraising outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the Development database (Raiser’s Edge NXT), ensuring accurate, compliant and well-maintained records, and supporting colleagues in its effective use
- Produce data analysis, reports and segmented insights to support fundraising, communications, events and decision-making
- Undertake prospect research, prepare briefings and support the development, monitoring and reporting of the fundraising pipeline, including due diligence activity
- Contribute to fundraising campaigns, appeals and events, and support data collection initiatives across the school
- Provide general administrative support, including management of shared inboxes and day-to-day Development Office activity
About You
- Excellent standard of IT literacy; familiarity with the management, maintenance and reporting from a relational database/CRM (experience of Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar is advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to data accuracy, confidentiality and compliance (including GDPR)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communications skills, with a good command of the English language both spoken and written.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
Working Hours & Salary
This is a year-round role, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The role offers a salary of £28,000 per annum, plus a wide range of staff benefits including freshly prepared lunches for only £10.30 per month, access to school facilities, and discounts/cashback at high street shops and restaurants through the school’s Employee Assistance Programme.
