About this role
As a Senior MRI Radiographer at Duchy Hospital, you will develop your skills in a growing cardiac service. Experience in Cardiac and Breast MRI and Siemens MRI equipment is essential. The service operates 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for longer hours and weekends as it expands. You will participate in on-call duties one Wednesday night per month, shared among the team. A minimum of 2 years MRI experience is required, and you must support the general X-ray department as needed. Demonstrated knowledge of Radiology and a commitment to service improvement are crucial. You will take on additional responsibilities, participate in the out-of-hours rota, support junior staff, and assist in training students while managing workload and patient queries.
Main duties
Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging. Proficiently use all equipment. Supervise junior colleagues. Ensure MRI safety per local rules. Work within IRMER and HCPC guidelines. Participate in audits and Quality Assurance. Support Clinical Lead Radiographers and Imaging Manager. Ensure equipment safety and report faults. IV cannulation competency required. Contribute to policy updates. Comply with Ramsay Health policies. Maintain records per requirements. Participate in on-call rota (1-hour response).

Requirements
BSc in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent). 2+ years' MRI experience (Cardiac, Gynae, etc.). Empathetic approach to patients and staff. Proactive work attitude.
