MEXICAN CHEF

About this role

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and cook authentic Mexican dishes, including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, fajitas, and other menu items.

Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a high standard.

Prepare ingredients, sauces, marinades, salsas, and garnishes according to recipes.

Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation.

Maintain food hygiene and safety standards in compliance with UK regulations.

Ensure proper storage, stock rotation, and inventory control.

Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and safe at all times.

Assist with menu planning and the development of new Mexican dishes.

Minimise food waste and help control food costs.

Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality standards.

Follow all allergy and dietary requirement procedures.

Working Hours Requirement

Must be available to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as part of the regular working schedule.

Flexibility to work evenings, bank holidays, and additional shifts as required by the business.

Skills and Experience

Experience preparing and cooking Mexican cuisine.

Knowledge of traditional Mexican ingredients, cooking methods, and recipes.

Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
