About this role
Thai Chef Responsibilities
Prepare and cook Thai food such as curries, stir-fries, soups, noodles, and salads.
Follow recipes and maintain authentic Thai flavours and presentation.
Prepare ingredients (cutting vegetables, marinating meats, making sauces and pastes).
Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion sizes.
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
Keep the kitchen clean and organised.
Manage stock levels and report ingredient shortages.
Store food correctly to prevent contamination.
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required.
Assist in creating new menu items and specials.
Minimise food waste and control costs.
Ensure customer dietary requirements and allergies are properly handled.
Skills Required
Knowledge of traditional Thai cuisine and cooking techniques.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
Good time management and teamwork skills.
Understanding of food safety regulations.
Attention to detail and consistency in food preparation.
