What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a motivated and vibrant teacher to join our supportive and collaborative team within the Federation of Burley and Sopley! This position will be based at Sopley Primary, working along side our upper key stage 2 colleagues. At Sopley, we have been developing a three year cycle, to enable our upper key stage 2 team, to work together and collaborate across the Federation.
At Sopley, we work closely together, sharing workload, planning, and expertise with Burley Primary School. As part of our Federation, our teachers benefit from shared PPA time, team collaboration, and a consistent, well-developed curriculum across our classes.
We are seeking a teacher who
- Has experience of teaching in Key Stage 2
- Is inclusive and understands the importance of belonging within a classroom
- Works effectively as part of a team
- Is a strong and clear communicator
- Understands how children learn and develop
- Contributes actively to the wider life of the school
- Fosters a nurturing, inclusive classroom while maintaining high expectations for all pupils
- Collaborates confidently with teaching assistants and shares responsibility for classroom provision
- Actively shares ideas and supports colleagues
- Demonstrates honesty, professionalism, and a commitment to safeguarding
- Is willing and able to travel across our Federation for meetings and shared PPA time
