Senior Care and Community Services Officer - Casual

About this role

Join our friendly team at Avon View as a Casual Senior Care and Community Services Officer, where you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support.

Avon View, located just outside Christchurch, is a residential home providing nursing, palliative, residential, and dementia care across three floors. We support people with complex needs through a compassionate, person‑centred approach, and we’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to exceptional care.

You will be responsible for ensuring that clients’ needs are fully assessed and that personalised care plans are developed, implemented, and regularly reviewed. You will also support the Manager in overseeing the day‑to‑day running of the service, maintaining the required standards and ensuring compliance with CQC guidelines.

We are looking for candidates with experience of working in a residential care setting, with a good understanding of relevant Community Care legislation, Risk Assessment, and Health & Safety requirements. You should be a strong team player with a positive attitude, a flexible approach, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification, is required.

If you would like to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support, would enjoy flexible working arrangements and working with a group of dedicated and caring staff, we would love to hear from you.
