We are currently recruiting Catering Operations Assistant to join a leading airport catering operation based in Crawley, Manor Royal area.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced aviation environment, supporting the preparation, packing, and distribution of airline catering products. Successful candidates will work across multiple departments including Production, Dishwash, and Pick & Pack, helping to ensure flights are serviced efficiently and to the highest standards.

Working Hours

Shift Pattern

4 Days On / 2 Days Off

Available Shifts

• 06:00 - 14:30
• 14:30 - 23:00

Please note flexibility is required to work across operational departments as needed.

Main Responsibilities as Catering Operations Assistant

Production

• Prepare catering products in line with company specifications and quality standards
• Support production teams in meeting daily operational targets
• Ensure stock is rotated correctly in accordance with food safety procedures
• Monitor and report food waste where required

Pick & Pack

• Pick and pack catering products accurately for airline services
• Assemble catering carts and trolleys according to flight requirements
• Carry out quality checks before products are dispatched
• Complete final security and compliance checks as required

Dishwash

• Operate industrial washing equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure all catering equipment, trays, and utensils are cleaned to required standards
• Dispose of waste using approved procedures
• Conduct routine equipment checks and report any faults

General Duties

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Report damaged equipment, breakages, or safety concerns
• Follow all company health, safety, and security procedures
• Complete relevant operational records accurately
• Provide support to other departments when required

Candidate Requirements

Essential

• Good level of spoken and written English
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking approach
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment

Desirable

• Previous experience in catering, food production, warehouse, manufacturing, hospitality, or airport operations
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene procedures
• Experience working to deadlines and productivity targets
