The Role

Are you ready to take pride in your work and play a key role in delivering vital property services?

We’re looking for a Driver / Labourer to support our busy Repairs and Voids teams, helping to keep jobs running smoothly across a range of properties. You’ll assist with transporting operatives, tools, and materials, while providing hands-on support to our trades teams to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

You’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, helping the team deliver jobs efficiently and on time.

This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and customer focus. At Raven, we empower our people to lead with purpose. You’ll join an organisation that values belonging, ownership, and collaboration—where your voice matters and your impact is felt across our communities. We’re proud of our inclusive, supportive culture and our commitment to professional development.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support Repairs and Voids teams with general labouring duties across occupied and empty properties
  • Supporting larger repair works, including fencing, brickwork, and clearance of bulky waste from sites
  • Carrying out manual handling tasks safely, including moving materials and equipment across sites
  • Safely transport operatives, tools, and materials to and from job sites
  • Assist with a range of maintenance and repair tasks, working both independently and as part of a team
  • Use scheduling systems and digital devices to update job progress accurately
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are used safely and kept in good condition.

What you’ll bring

  • Good knowledge of local areas and ability to use navigation tools
  • Previous experience in a labouring or construction environment, with the ability to safely use basic tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a reliable and proactive approach
  • Strong awareness of health and safety practices, particularly around manual handling
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Proven experience driving a van or 3.5 tonne vehicle (such as a cage tipper) is essential.

Why join Raven?

At Raven, we’re more than just a housing association — we’re a community‑focused organisation committed to creating positive change. You’ll be joining a supportive, forward‑thinking team where your ideas and expertise will genuinely make a difference.

You will also share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively, and caring about making things better.
