Are you a practical, hands-on person with a love of gardening, DIY, and helping others? I am looking for a Personal Assistant to provide 2.5 hours of support each week on a Tuesday morning, helping me with a variety of household, gardening, and creative projects.

This is a unique and rewarding role supporting a young-at-heart woman in her 50s who lives with several complex medical conditions, including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Adrenal Insufficiency, ADHD, PTSD, and Complex Emotional Needs. Alongside practical support, I am looking for someone who can bring patience, empathy, understanding, and a good sense of humour to our time together.

The role will involve assisting with a range of tasks around the home and garden, including decorating, decluttering, gardening projects, making compost, and helping to prepare and cook produce grown in the garden. There is plenty of variety, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys being active, creative, and getting stuck into practical tasks.

A keen interest in DIY, interior design, organic gardening, sustainability, and wildlife would be highly valued. I am passionate about plants, biodiversity, animals, sea swimming, natural medicine, and spirituality, and would love to hear from someone who shares some of these interests.

The ideal candidate will be practically minded, comfortable with manual tasks, and have an understanding of neurodiversity and mental health. It is important that you are non-judgemental, calm, emotionally aware, able to self-regulate, and communicate clearly. Building a positive and supportive working relationship is just as important as completing tasks.

Please note that I have a prescription for vaporised medical cannabis flower to help manage chronic pain. I am also immunocompromised and have severe allergies, so it is essential that Personal Assistants do not wear synthetic perfumes, aftershaves, or use strongly scented washing products when attending shifts.

If you are a reliable, practical, and compassionate person who enjoys helping others while sharing a love of gardening, nature, and creative projects, I would be delighted to hear from you.
