The role is suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for inspiring creativity, innovation, and practical problem-solving.

The successful candidate will

  • Teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons that develop creativity, design thinking, and technical skills
  • Support students in areas such as Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics, or related DT specialisms
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
  • Promote high standards of achievement and behaviour throughout the school
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Design Technology or a related subject
  • Experience teaching DT at secondary level
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to student progress and wellbeing
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative department team
