Are you a creative, strategic marketing professional who wants to shape how a purpose driven charity tells its story and connects with its community? We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager to take full ownership of our brand, messaging, and audience engagement, helping to strengthen the long term sustainability and visibility of our organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys leading on all aspects of marketing and communications and wants to build a clear, compelling, and values driven narrative for our charity. As our sole marketing specialist, you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands on delivery, ensuring our communications are engaging, consistent, and aligned with our mission.

You’ll work closely with our Senior Management Team, service leads, and staff across the organisation, providing expert guidance and helping to create a strong, recognisable presence across digital, print, and community channels.

What you’ll be doing

Brand, Marketing & Campaigns

•Lead on brand strategy, ensuring a consistent and compelling identity across all platforms.

•Plan and deliver multi channel marketing campaigns that raise awareness and support organisational priorities.

•Produce high quality content including blogs, newsletters, case studies, and promotional materials.

•Manage the organisation’s content calendar to ensure timely, relevant communications.

Digital Communications

•Oversee our website and social media channels, ensuring content is engaging, accessible, and up to date.

•Use analytics tools to monitor performance and provide insights to management.

•Manage email marketing, SEO, and digital advertising where relevant.

Media Relations & External Communications

•Build strong relationships with local media, partners, and community organisations.

•Draft press releases, statements, and external communications.

•Support reputation management and crisis communications when required.

Internal Communications & Engagement

•Support internal messaging to ensure staff feel informed, connected, and aligned with organisational priorities.

•Work with managers to strengthen internal communication processes and staff engagement.

Strategic Communications Support

•Provide insights and recommendations to support organisational planning and decision making.

•Lead communications related projects that improve efficiency and strengthen brand presence.

•Support change communications, ensuring staff and stakeholders feel informed and supported.

What we’re looking for

Essential

•Significant experience managing marketing and communications across multiple channels.

•Strong understanding of brand development, digital marketing, and content strategy.

•Proven ability to create compelling written and visual content.

•Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.

•Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.

•Creativity, attention to detail, and strategic thinking.

•A proactive, solutions focused approach and the ability to work effectively in a small team.

Desirable

•Experience working in a charity or not for profit environment.

•Confidence using digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and CMS systems.

•Experience managing media relations or working with PR agencies.

•Interest in storytelling, audience engagement, or brand development.
