About this role
The job role involves a rotation of normal working days, long days, night shift and a rolling rota of weekend on calls. The rolling rota will be available to the post holder in advance. The clinical duties of the post include the following:SHO cover on labour ward, ward reviews, Gynae day unit cover, theatre assistance and covering the gynaecology emergency service. In addition, there will be opportunity to attend Antenatal clinics, Gynaecology clinics and theatres. The post holder accepts that they will also perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of theappropriate consultant, in consultation, wherepracticable, with their colleagues, both senior and junior. It is an expectation that the post holder: Attend mandatory training updates as required Undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post and as agreed with the line manager as part of the personal development process Achieve and demonstrate agreed standards of personal and professional development within agreed timescales Identify own learning needs and jointly plan training requirements with your line manager Participate in the Trusts appraisal process to discuss how your role will help deliver the best possible care to our patients and help to deliver any changes in service
