About The Role

The main purpose of the Deputy Manager role is to provide operational management support, leadership, and oversight across multiple services, working alongside the Registered Manager to ensure a safe, caring, responsive, effective, and well-led service for both clients and staff.

You will ensure the highest possible levels of support are delivered, in line with organisational expectations and regulatory Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

You will play a key role in ensuring services are compliant, well-managed, and continuously improving, while supporting individuals to achieve positive, outcomes-based support in line with Agincare Enable’s person-centred values.

You will also support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of services and assume full responsibility in their absence.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To support the Registered Manager with oversight of services, ensuring compliance is maintained at all times in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
  • To provide line management, leadership, and development of staff within your area, including Care Managers, Seniors, and Support Workers.
  • To ensure operational and quality assurance KPIs are consistently met, taking direction from the Registered Manager and driving continuous improvement.
  • To actively promote Agincare Enable by maintaining positive relationships with clients, families, professionals, and stakeholders through excellent communication and customer service.
  • To prepare, manage, and oversee staff rotas across services, ensuring resources are effectively deployed and service delivery remains consistent.
  • To support the Registered Manager with day-to-day budget management and promote financial discipline across the services.
  • To ensure Agincare Enable’s values of holistic, person-centred support are embedded and consistently delivered, ensuring individuals receive outcome-based support tailored to their needs.
  • To support the Registered Manager in ensuring all notifiable events and safeguarding concerns are appropriately managed and reported to the CQC within required timescales and in line with policy and local safeguarding procedures.
  • To attend and contribute to meetings as required, ensuring actions are clearly identified, recorded, and followed through to completion.
  • To undertake shifts within services as required, role-modelling best practice and supporting teams to deliver high-quality care that promotes independence and positive outcomes.
  • To act as a role model in ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • To undertake on-call duties as part of a rota system, ensuring effective out-of-hours support is available across services.
  • To carry out any other duties commensurate with the role and level of responsibility.

About You

  • QCF Level 4 or 5 / RMA / Health & Social Care qualification, or willingness to work towards (E)
  • Previous leadership and management experience in a similar care environment, or experience as a Senior Support Worker ready to progress (E)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the care sector and regulatory framework (E)
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel (E)
  • Excellent communication skills across a range of stakeholders (E)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (as per original JD requirement) (E)
