We are looking for experienced Female Support Workers to join our specialist complex supported living home in Edgware, supporting one woman with learning disabilities and autism who experiences behaviours of distress.

This is a highly specialised role, ideal for candidates who already have strong, firsthand experience in complex behavioural support settings and feel confident working in emotionally demanding but highly rewarding environments.

You will be supporting a woman in her early thirties, living in her own home, with 2:1 staffing in place. The focus of the role is to provide consistent, proactive, and person-centred support that promotes safety, trust, and independence.

Working within one of Dimensions' complex supported living homes, you will play a crucial role in delivering Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) in practice. Our approach is rooted in understanding the reasons behind behaviours of distress, reducing triggers, and enabling people to live fulfilling lives.

You will support with all aspects of daily living, including routines, engagement, and skill-building, while maintaining a structured and predictable environment. The focus is on proactive, relationship-based support, helping the person feel understood, in control, and empowered.

Shifts are available across days and waking nights, typically including 7:00am-2:30pm, 2:15pm-9:45pm, and 9:45pm-7:15am, offering time and part-time contracts.

This role requires a calm, reflective, and consistent approach, as well as the ability to respond confidently and safely in situations where behaviours of distress may occur. You will work closely within a skilled team and contribute to ongoing support planning in line with PBS and trauma-informed principles.

About You

We are specifically looking for candidates who bring proven experience in complex behavioural support. You will already have a strong understanding of behaviours of distress, including how to recognise triggers, implement proactive strategies, and respond in a supportive and non-restrictive way.

You will have experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism, and be confident working in a structured, person-centred environment where consistency is key. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to use and adapt to alternative communication methods.

You will be emotionally resilient, patient, and able to remain calm under pressure, while maintaining a compassionate and respectful approach at all times. You should also feel confident supporting with day-to-day responsibilities such as routine support, engagement, and accurate record keeping.
