Dog Grooming Apprenticeship

Plush Pooches is a busy grooming salon. We pride ourselves on our high quality of care and grooming on all dog breeds, large and small, as well as with various temperaments.

We are looking for an eager to learn candidate who is confident and willing to work hard to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities include

Washing and Drying

Sweeping and Cleaning

Assisting with grooming

All training will be provided.

The ideal candidate will punctual, trustworthy and able to communicate well.

Our head groomer Marie is City and Guilds qualified to distinction level. We attend seminars and grooming competitions on a regular basis to keep up to date with the latest grooming techniques, so we can ensure that your pooches receive the highest standard of care.

We pride ourselves on the individual care and attention each dog requires, as dog owners, we know that every dog has different needs, and we make sure that they are our first priority every time.

Training

All training will be provided on

site during your paid working hours.

Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination

of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training

Trainer Coach.

Qualifications required

GCSE pass in Maths and English desired.Functional Skills in Maths and English will be undertaken in lieu of GCSE passes.

Skills required

A candidate with a previous qualification in this area would be desireable, but happy to train the right person.

Prospects

A permanent position is available for the right candidate, as well as the option for further training.
