Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team in London, United Kingdom. In this role, you'll take ownership of your assigned station, leading food preparation and execution while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety. You'll work collaboratively with our head chef and kitchen team to deliver exceptional dishes that delight our customers, while continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve our culinary offerings.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards set by the head chef and sous chef, ensuring strict adherence to food safety protocols at all times
- Manage your designated station efficiently, overseeing the production of all assigned dishes and maintaining optimal supply levels and cleanliness in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
- Maintain rigorous quality control standards for all dishes, paying meticulous attention to presentation, taste, and consistency to exceed customer expectations
- Communicate effectively with all team members, providing support and assistance to colleagues to foster a collaborative and inclusive kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the head chef to develop, test, and refine new recipes and menu items, offering creative suggestions for innovation and improvement
- Ensure your station and all kitchen equipment are kept clean, well-organized, and in optimal working condition, conducting regular maintenance checks as needed
- Lead by example, demonstrating resilience and flexibility in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining focus on operational goals
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on proper techniques, food safety standards, and station procedures as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar senior kitchen role within a professional culinary environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and culinary methods
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and HACCP principles
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment while maintaining quality and efficiency
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities with a collaborative mindset
- Proficiency in station management and the ability to lead and support team members
- Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or equivalent) or willingness to obtain certification
- Culinary training or formal qualification in hospitality/culinary arts (preferred)
- Ability to customize and innovate within established culinary frameworks while respecting organizational standards
- Flexible approach to work schedules, including potential weekend and evening shifts
- Commitment to maintaining inclusive and supportive kitchen practices
