About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager (RGN) to join our team. This is a clinical leadership role requiring a registered nurse with a valid NMC PIN and a strong background in elderly care.

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of the care home.

Ensure the highest standards of clinical care and resident wellbeing are maintained.

Lead, motivate, and support the clinical and care teams.

Monitor and maintain compliance with CQC regulations and clinical governance requirements.

Oversee care planning, risk assessments, medication management, and clinical audits.

Promote a positive culture focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Assist with staff supervision, training, recruitment, and performance management.

Ensure accurate record-keeping and effective use of care management systems.

Essential Requirements

Valid NMC PIN (Registered General Nurse - RGN).

Current nursing experience with a strong clinical background.

Minimum of 1 year's experience as a Deputy Manager within a care home setting.

Strong understanding of CQC regulations, compliance, and clinical governance.

Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Good IT skills and experience using electronic care management systems.

Desirable Requirements

Two or more years of leadership or management experience within elderly care.

Experience supporting teams in achieving high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
