Action Staffing is recruiting for a passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join a vibrant setting in Streatham (SW16). This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader who loves working directly with children but also wants to support the management and growth of the nursery.
Flexible Working
We are open to candidates who prefer a 4-day working week, giving you an extra day off every week!
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, deputising in their absence to ensure smooth operations.
Room Based
This is primarily a room-based role, where you will lead by example, modeling excellent practice and high-quality teaching for the team.
Admin Support
You will have dedicated office time (a few afternoons per week) to assist with paperwork, occupancy, and compliance duties.
Mentorship
Guide, train, and inspire the staff team to deliver the best possible outcomes for children.
Partnership
Build strong, trusted relationships with parents and families in the Streatham community.
Requirements
Experience
Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Nursery Manager is essential.
Qualification
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (Level 4, 5, or Degree desirable).
Knowledge
Strong understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted inspection framework, and Safeguarding.
Attitude
A positive, hands-on leader who is passionate about quality childcare.
Benefits
Competitive Salary
£32,000 – £34,000 per annum (Negotiable for exceptional candidates).
