We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable franchised main dealer in Portsmouth, for a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to join a well-established dealership with a strong focus on quality service and professional development.

Duties of the

Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

  • Conduct vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs in accordance with brand standards
  • Utilise advanced diagnostic tools and digital systems to identify faults efficiently
  • Liaise directly with customers when required, providing clear advice and updates
  • Support and mentor less experienced colleagues within the workshop
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Attend training sessions to maintain and develop technical expertise
  • Ensure compliance with all dealership processes and procedures as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

Requirements of the

Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

  • Relevant technical qualifications such as City & Guilds, BTEC, or NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Previous experience in a franchised dealership or similar environment
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to logically approach diagnostics and problem-solving
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to stay up-to-date with evolving vehicle technologies and manufacturer updates
  • Full valid UK driving licence
