Part‑Time PPA Teacher - SEN School (Sydenham) September 2026 Start | Monday-Thursday | £180-£260 per day (Umbrella)
A well‑established and highly regarded SEN school in Sydenham is seeking a committed and adaptable PPA Cover Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a 4‑day‑per‑week role (Monday to Thursday), ideal for an experienced primary practitioner with a genuine interest in working within a specialist setting.
The school is known for its warm, nurturing ethos, spacious and thoughtfully designed learning environments, and a supportive, hands‑on Senior Leadership Team who prioritise staff wellbeing and professional growth. With excellent facilities, sensory spaces and a calm, structured approach, it's a setting where both pupils and staff thrive.
The Role
- Providing PPA cover across the school, with two days per week focused on the EYFS class
- Delivering engaging, well‑structured lessons tailored to pupils with a range of additional needs
- Taking responsibility for your own planning
- Working collaboratively with class teams, therapists and support staff
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- QTS - essential
- SEN experience preferred, or a strong interest in developing SEN expertise
- Proven experience teaching in UK primary settings
- EYFS/KS1 experience is a strong advantage
- Confident planning and delivering lessons independently
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Pay & Contract
- £180-£260 per day (umbrella)
- Paid weekly
- Long‑term role starting September 2026
