We are seeking a HSEQ Advisor to support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, environmental and quality management systems in line with the OneISS Way.
Reporting to the HSEQ Lead, this role plays a pivotal part in embedding a strong safety, compliance and quality culture across operations, ensuring safe systems of work and risk management practices are consistently applied.
Job Description
We are looking for an individual who will provide expert, practical and proactive HSEQ support to operational teams and stakeholders.
By conducting risk assessments and audits, collaborating with clients and internal teams, and championing ISS HSEQ initiatives, the HSEQ Advisor will directly contribute to service excellence and reinforce ISS’s reputation for dependable, high-quality, safety-focused facilities support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide practical and proactive HSEQ support to enable safe, efficient and compliant operations.
Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of HSEQ management systems in line with the OneISS Way.
Conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections, identifying hazards and ensuring effective risk controls are implemented.
Understand the risk profile of contracts and proactively manage potential health, safety, environmental and quality risks.
Collaborate with operational teams to ensure safe systems of work and HSEQ procedures are fully embedded and followed.
Work closely with client counterparts to ensure HSEQ processes meet client expectations while maintaining ISS internal standards.
Champion ISS HSEQ campaigns, including Creating Safe Spaces and wellbeing initiatives, to drive engagement and improve outcomes.
Support the deployment of HSEQ plans, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement across operations.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Previous HSEQ experience with a strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality management systems.
Knowledge of ISO standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Proven ability to identify, assess and manage operational risks effectively.
Experience within Facilities Management is desirable.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications and Requirements
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification.
IOSH membership.
Full UK driving licence, with some travel required.
