We are seeking an experienced GCSE English tutor to work with a student who has an EHCP

About the Student

· He is incredibly literal in his understanding and struggles to interpret what exam questions are asking.

· In his last exam, he missed the 40-mark extended writing question.

· He requires clear, structured, and patient support to help him build confidence and exam technique.

Requirements

· Must have experience supporting students with SEN / ASD.

· Ability to break down exam questions into manageable steps and teach strategies for understanding what is being asked.

· Strong communication skills, with a focus on literal and explicit instruction.

· In-person tuition only.

GCSE English Language , exam technique, comprehension, and extended writing practice.

Ideal Candidate

· A tutor with a background in SEN or specialist tutoring.

· Patient, empathetic, and able to adapt teaching methods to learning style.

· Committed to helping in the progress towards achieving a pass grade in his GCSE English.
