Our client, a highly regarded primary school in Chatham, Kent, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. As the SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored, engaging, and effective lessons that cater to the specific requirements of students with special educational needs. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of various SEN conditions, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities, and have the ability to adapt teaching methodologies to meet the unique needs of each student. You will be proficient in creating and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs), utilising assistive technologies, and providing targeted interventions to help students reach their full potential.

The salary for this position is highly competitive, ranging from £150 to £230 per day, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. - Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students with special educational requirements
- Collaborate with the SENCO, classroom teachers, and support staff to create and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) that address each student's specific goals and needs
- Utilise a range of assistive technologies, teaching methodologies, and intervention strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and the wider school team
- Contribute to the development and review of the school's SEN policies and practices
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest SEN teaching methods and best practices
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the school community to promote a inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Extensive experience working as a SEN Teacher in a primary school setting
- In-depth knowledge of various SEN conditions and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Proven track record of successfully supporting students with diverse learning needs to achieve their goals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for inclusive education
