We are looking for motivated health care support workers/ nursing assistants to join our friendly team. We are particularly focusing on those withEnhanced Care/ Mental HealthExperience andTheatreexperience but we may consider applications for inpatient and maternity roles should they arise in the meanwhile.

Theatres

Join our hardworking theatre teams helping to reduce waiting lists across the Trust and providing care for our patients undergoing surgery. You must have experience to be considered for this role.

Adult and Children’s inpatients;Join our fantastic teams giving acute ward-based care to those experiencing ill health.

Maternity support worker;This role plays a pivotal role in supporting women and infants throughout pregnancy and the immediate post-natal period, join a small friendly team with opportunities for further progression.

Important Information

• For this role it is essential that you have previous or current Acute Hospital or Primary care experience
• Care Certificate from an Ofqual regulated awarding organisation (Theory & Practical)

To be part of our Senior Nursing Assistant (Band 3) team, we would like you to have the following qualifications

• Experience in a hospital setting
• GSCE Maths and English Desirable
• Good standard of literacy and numerical skills is essential
• NVQ III in Healthcare and or a completed Full Care Certificate Programme which is an essential criterion for this role
• A calm and kind approach
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge and skills in caring for complex patients with medical conditions.

• To assist under supervision in the delivery of fundamental nursing care and a range of clinical duties in liaison with the multidisciplinary team, to ensure the effective and efficient running of the ward/ service.
• To contribute to the implementation and progression of a range of patient treatment and care packages as delegated by a registered healthcare professional; reporting back on progress
• To provide day to day supervision and /or support co-ordination of learners and junior staff acting both as a leader and role model for Nursing Assistants/Healthcare Support Worker (band 2)
• To maintain own personal development with support from ward/departmental manager and provide support and guidance to others to help their development
• To demonstrate a broad skill base, planning own duties and organising own day to day work activities
• To ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users and always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of high-quality person-centred care and principles.
