A welcoming and well-supported primary school in Cheam is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team, working within a specialist provision based in a mainstream setting.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and adaptable teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs in a nurturing, structured environment.
You will be working within a specialist SEN provision, supporting pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD and SEMH. The provision offers a smaller, more personalised learning environment, tailored to help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key responsibilities include
- Planning and delivering tailored, engaging lessons to meet individual needs
- Supporting pupils' emotional regulation, behaviour and social development
- Implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Creating a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment
- Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCo and pastoral staff
- Building positive relationships with pupils and their families
- A full-time, long-term SEN teaching role in a supportive primary school
- A well-resourced specialist provision with small group sizes
- Strong support from experienced TAs, SENCo and leadership team
- A nurturing and inclusive school environment

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
- A patient, nurturing and adaptable teaching approach
- Strong behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
