About the Role

St Francis Catholic Primary School is seeking a committed and compassionate teacher to support the running of our Resource Provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a small group of pupils with additional needs, delivering tailored provision that enables them to thrive both academically and socially within a supportive and nurturing environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCo, leadership team, and support staff to plan and deliver high-quality, personalised learning programmes that meet individual needs and promote inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver differentiated learning for pupils within the Resource Provision

Support pupils with a range of SEND, including communication and interaction needs

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants to ensure effective support and engagement

Contribute to EHCP reviews, target setting, and progress monitoring

Liaise with parents, external agencies, and professionals as appropriate

Promote positive behaviour strategies and a consistent, nurturing approach

About You

We are looking for someone who

Is a qualified teacher with experience or a strong interest in SEND

Has a patient, flexible and nurturing approach to teaching

Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills

Is committed to inclusive education and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils

Has experience of, or willingness to learn about, supporting pupils with complex needs

Salary / Pay Scale

Qualified Teachers

MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

Unqualified Internal Applicants

Unqualified Teacher Pay Range

Salary will be in line with the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD).
