About this role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Assistant to join our Employee Services Team on a fixed term contract to cover Maternity leave until February 2027. You will be required to work at the Eastbourne District General Hospital Site.
In this role, you will support the Operational HR team with a range of employee relations activities and act as the first point of contact for HR-related procedural queries from employees and key stakeholders.
Your main responsibilities will include responding to employee relations enquiries received via telephone and email, organising key HR meetings within required timeframes, and processing subject access requests. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate HR records, managing HR documentation, and updating information across our internal systems and databases.
We are looking for a candidate with experience of HR procedures who can manage a varied workload efficiently and to a high standard. Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and good IT proficiency (including Outlook, Excel, and Word) are essential, along with a sound understanding of HR terminology.
The successful candidate will be an effective team player with the ability to remain calm and productive under pressure.
