About this role
As a result of the expansion of our team of pharmacists and the reconfiguration of the service, an opportunity exists to join a pro-active, well respected and forward-thinking Pharmacy Oncology Team as a specialist Oncology Paediatric Pharmacist delivering high quality patient care and service to our patients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist who is interested in consolidating their clinical and managerial expertise in the areas ofPaediatric Oncology. The team already provides and has a well-established service for haematology and oncology.
You will have experience in oncology, haemato-oncology and /or paediatricpreferably will have some previous management experience, including service improvement/ development. You will be able to work independently, manage your own workload and have experience in managing / supporting staff.
The post is based at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital where the paediatric service is sited.
Key activities include
- Using your specialist knowledge to provide support for the Paediatric Oncology Service
- Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team to implement changes and develop new procedures and services.
- Pre-assessing patients, reviewing test results and assessing their safety to proceed to treatment.
- Training and mentoring pharmacists and other health professionals.
