About this role
Hope Homecare is looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our friendly nurse-led team. The role involves supporting adults and children within their homes and community settings, including individuals with complex needs, while promoting independence, dignity, wellbeing, and person-centred support.
As a Support Worker, you will provide practical, emotional, and social support to service users, helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life within a safe and supportive environment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Support service users with daily living activities and routines
Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement
Assist individuals with personal care where required
Support service users within the community, including appointments and social activities
Assist with meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration
Support individuals with mobility and safe use of equipment
Assist with medication prompts and wellbeing monitoring
Maintain accurate records and report concerns appropriately
Promote independence, choice, dignity, and person-centred support
Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider support team
Ensure service users remain safe, comfortable, and supported at all times
Travel safely between service users’ homes and community settings
Requirements
A caring, compassionate, and reliable attitude
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous support work or care experience is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided
Experience supporting individuals with complex needs is advantageous
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
Sponsorship may be available for drivers with their own vehicles
