Pharmacy Support Worker - Stores & Distribution

Stock shelves in the Inpatient Pharmacy, Outpatient Pharmacy, and any other required location ensuring that stock is kept clean, tidy, in the correct place and used in order FEFO (first expiry first out). Carry out regular stock checks of medicines stored within these areas reporting any discrepancies to the Procurement Pharmacy Technician. Receive and process orders for medicines from wards and departments. Visit wards and departments on a schedule, to order stock (top up). Deal with ad hoc requests for stock supply as they arise from wards/departments and outside clinics. These may be urgent and will need to be prioritised appropriately. Input data into the Pharmacy computer system to ensure that all appropriate records are made and kept up to date. Investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies, liaising with invoicing staff, making appropriate records of all investigations and outcomes. Please refer to the Job Description for further details
