Senior Radiographer- Enhanced Practice (SABR or Skin)

Protected SPA Time

You will receive approximately 4 hours of Supporting Professional Activity (SPA) time per week, fully dedicated to your personal development and service improvement projects.

Your growth will be guided by a clear, structured portfolio that defines your evolving scope of practice, milestones, and competencies.

Dual-Role Integration

You will maintain your existing job description and team alignment, seamlessly integrating your new enhanced skills into daily practice. As a senior radiographer you will also be expected to; Undertake radiotherapy treatment and planning, on a rotational basis, using ionising radiation to treat patients with cancer or benign disease, with both curative and palliative intent Carry out radiotherapy procedures using a variety of specialised high energy radiation equipment, operating in conjunction with radiotherapy IT systems and various imaging systems Provide supervision and support to junior staff and students in training Make confident decision-making as the most senior Radiographer in absence of a team leader To participate in the departmental shift and on-call system between the hours of 07:00-20:00, 7 days a week Be accountable for own professional actions and limitations within own scope of practice.
