We are dedicated to supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and ensuring that every student reaches their full potential.Over recent years, we have developed both our Learning Support and Foundation departments to create an outcome-focused, student-centred approach.Our work is driven by inclusion, high expectations, and a commitment to helping all learners succeed.We are now looking for additional Learning Support Workers to join our team, supporting students with a wide range of needs within our Further Education provision.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Worker, you will work either

  • Within our Foundation provision, supporting young people who may have previously attended specialist schools and require smaller class sizes and support with both academic and social times at college.

OR• Within mainstream provision, supporting students who have mostly come from mainstream settings and benefit from support to access their chosen vocational or academic courses.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will

Support students on a 1

1 basis and in small groups

  • Work alongside teaching staff in classroom environments
  • Support students in social spaces across campus
  • Accompany students on offsite visits and trips

You will be working with students with a diverse range of learning needs, helping them to build confidence, independence, and skills for their next steps.

Please note

Some roles within our Foundation provision may involve supporting students with personal care.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for individuals who are

  • Passionate about supporting young people and making a difference
  • Patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships
  • Able to work flexibly across different learning environments

You will need

  • A good standard of education, including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
  • A willingness to undertake further training and development
  • Experience of working with young people (ideally in an educational or care setting) is desirable but not essential
