About this role
The admin coordinator is the first point of contact for patients and visitors who are attending, referred to or admitted to the Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU).
A key aspect of the role is the accurate and timely input of electronic admission, discharge and referral information as well as entering clinical data into the coding module of ICS, ensuring that Trust targets are achieved.
This role provides the administration/clerical function for the department.
The post holder will be available to work 0800 – 2000 Monday to Sunday on a flexible rota with other members of staff.
The post holder will adhere to Trust policy with regards to the sensitive information that patients are providing and all aspects of the Data Protection Act 1998.
The post holder may be required to work at any of the Trust’s sites however this position will be based at Northwick Park Hospital SAU.
The admin coordinator is required to work flexibly within the post to achieve the outcome.
· To provide administrative support to both the Medial and Nursing Team on the ward.
· To act as the main focal point for visitors and callers to the ward.
· To ensure that all admissions and discharges to the ward are recorded on ICS.
